We are now entering the final few weeks of construction of the Raigmore Active Travel Link.
The majority of work has now been completed, however there will be some outstanding work to complete on handrails and guardrails, due to delays caused by supply issues. It is hoped that all work will be completed by Christmas.
With much of the work now completed, welfare cabins on site will begin being removed from Wednesday 8th December. This will mean increased traffic to and from the site and cranes will be used to remove the cabins. We apologise for any inconvenience or disruption caused by this. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch using the contact details below.
What’s been happening?
Verging works have continued over the past week and a timber fence has been constructed around the site.
What’s happening next?
In addition to welfare cabins being removed from site this week, benches and signs will be installed. Bollards will also be delivered before being installed at the top and bottom of the travel link, and the landscaping subcontractor will commence works from Monday 13th December.
The final layer of surfacing is due to be laid in the run-up to the Christmas holidays.
