Construction update

The team has been continuing work on the Raigmore Active Travel Link this week while awaiting delivery information for the delayed street furniture and wood cladding.

What’s been happening?

Over the past week, the team has been continuing work on drainage and steps. The Travel Link’s first set of steps have been completed and preparation work has begun on the second and third set of steps. Kerbing work has also been taking place.

What’s happening next?

The team will continue work on the last two sets of steps and complete drainage works.

A bat survey has also been completed before felling of dead and diseased trees surrounding the site can be completed. The survey confirmed that there are no bats and dates for the felling of these trees will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

An update will be given on the revised completion date of the Raigmore Active Travel Link once delivery dates for street furniture and the Ekki hardwood cladding has been confirmed by the suppliers.
