As of today, 7th June, the sheet piling phase of construction is in progress. This will take around two weeks to complete and is likely to be the most disruptive phase of construction. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Footpath management
As part of the sheet piling work, it is necessary to introduce some controls on the footpath coming off the Golden Bridge onto Raigmore Estate from Inverness Campus. Members of the Pat Munro team will be located on the ramp, stopping members of the public using the ramp for short time slots (around three minutes) to ensure the safety of the public while a crane manoeuvres sheet piles into place. While the ramp is closed off, the steps will be unaffected and will be open.
Those who need to use the ramp will only have to wait for a few minutes before the crane has been moved and they can proceed again.
Noise and vibrations
During the sheet pile work, nearby residents at Raigmore Estate may experience an increase in noise and vibrations. As during all stages of work, noise and vibration levels will be monitored to ensure they are within legal limits.
Site safety
Finally, the team would like to remind members of the public that they should not enter the construction site. This is for their own safety.
If you would like to speak with someone on-site, please wait at the site entrance where a member of the team will meet you. You can also always contact the team with any questions or concerns on raigmoreatl@whalelikefish.co.uk or 01463 830 390.
